BAT COMPLIANCE TEAM IS LOOKING FOR A COMPLIANCE ANALYST

SENIORITY LEVEL: Junior Management Level

FUNCTION: Legal & External Affairs

SALARY RANGE: Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits + Market leading bonus

LOCATION: Selangor, Malaysia

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

Responsible for assisting End Markets with their compliance and Business Conduct. This would involve monitoring and reporting on their progress on compliance Key Performance Indicators (KPI), suggesting corrective actions, providing supporting training and documentation, as well as presenting progress, issues, and opportunities to management. Provide guidance to business on legal compliance topics as well as conducting and controls reviews.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Monitoring compliance with key performance indicators, reporting outcomes, and recommending corrective actions to End Markets (EM) for the following compliance areas:
    • ongoing sanctions screening;
    • Third Party Anti-Financial Crime risk assessment, including company structure analysis;
    • Policy Management; and
    • Gifts & Entertainment (G&E) requests.
  • Engaging directly with business in exercising the monitoring, reporting and remediation activities stated above.
  • Presenting monitoring reports (Dashboards) at end market governance meetings.
  • Providing End Markets with process guidance and training on G&E, policy management, and Anti-Financial Crime risk assessment.
  • Assisting End Markets in developing and processing requests for approval of deviation from Third Party Anti-Financial Crime Procedure.
  • Acting as Super User for Coupa Risk Assess (CRA), G&E Tracker, Policy Management System App, and other associated Apps, including being the 1st line of user support to End Market users.
  • Participating in user acceptance testing.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Experience Required

  • Advantage for candidates with experience in KYC (Know Your Customer) and/or KYS (Know Your Supplier) experience
  • Collaborating with colleagues from diverse cultures
  • Working in a highly digitalized environment – Being Tech savvy.
  • Using data interrogation, management, analytics and reporting tools and analytical methods
  • Some relevant experience in compliance, monitoring, and reporting.

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

  • Business Engagement skills.
  • Ability to deliver training to small and large audiences.
  • Business analysis.
  • Working with inter departmental teams.
  • Communication skills
  • Medium to advance skills in EXCEL (i.e. building macros, using V-Lookup) and PPT.

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required

  • Well looked upon – certification in
    • data interrogation/management/reporting (SQL, EXCEL Macros, Power BI, others)

  • Skilled in use of analytical tools including database interrogating tools (i.e. SQL, MS Excel, Power BI).
  • Commercially aware and able to manage both cost and value of projects, including business cases.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills, with good time management and delegation skills, and competent in project management.
  • Can lead cross functionally and can work with external suppliers effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to influence across the business.
  • Strong team player, creative, entrepreneurial, dynamic, positive can-do attitude supported by a drive to succeed.
  • Agile in fast-moving environment and flexible in adapting to new tasks and changing priorities.
  • Drives single point accountability, with ability to identify and make suitable interventions to ensure project deadlines are met.
