JOB TITLE: Reporting Specialist
FUNCTION: DBS – GBS Marketing
CITY & COUNTRY: Lahore, Pakistan
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
This role entails facilitating the business planning process by efficiently managing reporting procedures, streamlining and automating periodic reporting, and maintaining a centralized information repository utilizing PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI..
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
Internal Marketing Information Systems:
- Take a lead role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing internal reporting systems.
- Act as a Super User for system-related training sessions and upgrades.
Information & Reporting (Periodic):
- Develop and automate periodic reporting templates, emphasizing optimization for efficiency and accuracy to minimize human errors.
- Populate static and dynamic dashboards on PowerPoint and Excel templates by linking raw data.
- Create back-end files for upload on the Power BI interface.
- Gather a wide range of data from various markets concerning sales and market share.
- Maintain ongoing coordination with markets and reporting counterparts.
- Manage the APMEA WEST DBS workstream for Marketing Information projects.
- Combine data from different sources and work on dashboard visualization.
Information & Reporting (Ad-Hoc):
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and data delivery.
Summary of Monthly Reports/System Info Updates Delivered:
- Develop baseline forecasts using run-rate analysis.
- Create PowerPoint slides with visually appealing and easy-to-understand data visualization.
- Generate basic insights and forecasts using multiple data sources.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
- Proficiency in automating dashboards
- Ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE
- Proficiency in end-to-end PowerBI Dashboard Development (Data to Dashboard), with a strong understanding of PowerQuery, M Language, DAX, and PowerBI functions.
- Experience in developing dashboards with multiple data sources and effectively communicating requirements to Data Analysts or relevant teams.
- Ability to diagnose existing Excel reports, develop solutions, implement changes, and monitor validation processes to ensure data integrity and optimal performance.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, with a certification in VBA being advantageous.
- Expertise in using Power BI for back-end uploads and front-end visualization.
- 4-5 years of experience as a reporting analyst/specialist, preferably in regional roles.
- Fluency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver data reports with quick turnaround times while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Adaptability to work in dynamic and diverse environments.
- Strong cognitive abilities to develop forecasting and tracking models based on business needs.
- Analytical focus to identify the appropriate information sources for extracting sales data, maintaining sales reports, and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrates strong commercial acumen.
- Commitment to high integrity and honesty.
