ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

British American Tobacco Italia is looking for a talented and brilliant intern, with strong passion to join the Security team based in Rome. As an intern in our team you will get the chance to provide a coordinated, security and risk management service, ensuring that threats to personnel, assets, operations and business objectives within the Italian End Market are properly identified, evaluated and countered effectively and efficiently, in alignment with BAT Group Security Standards.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

• Continuously review and maintain effective security policies, procedures and practice ensuring the safety of BAT personnel, assets, information and business activities
• Actively monitor security situations and intelligence landscape so to take proactive measures aimed at minimizing security risks to the business.
• Conduct security threat/risk assessments, deploy mitigating security measures, and maintain the Business Security Risk Assessment Review (SRM) for Italy.
• Provide support, as needed, to Operations so to ensure primary supply chain security and proactively identify any threats to secondary supply chain so to recommend appropriate solutions and mitigations.
• Deal with security enquiries, investigations and review of security breaches
• Support the implementation of information security procedures in accordance with the Group Information Security Standard
• Support and assist in the preparation of crisis management plans (such as evacuation, civil unrest, etc.) and support in the Business Continuity strategy across various relevant company functions and departments.
• Support in managing security during public or corporate events.
• Maintain and develop synergies with other functions at all levels to contribute to the achievement of company goals (particularly HR, Legal, and EHS).
• Actively promote and contribute to the dissemination of security culture across the company.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Completed or on going Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree is a plus
• Data sensitivity & analytical thinking
• Advanced knowledge of the Office Package, especially Excel. Knowledge of Power BI tools would be considered as a plus.
• Creative and confident;
• Positive attitude and desire to work collaboratively with a team;
• Excellent attention to details and a high motivation to learn;
• Fluency in English and Italian languages.
• Previous working experience – especially in Security, Safety or Legal is considered a plus
